The RBI has not declared May 25 an official holiday; however, employees are scheduled to go on strike that day. Consequently, SBI branches in several locations and cities are expected to remain closed on May 25. Nevertheless, all other banks will operate normally and remain open on May 25.

May 26 Bank Holiday
SBI employees will continue their strike on May 26 as well. As a result, SBI branches may remain closed on this day.


Banks will remain closed in several cities across the country on May 27. The RBI has declared a bank holiday on this day—in most cities—on account of Bakrid (Eid-ul-Adha). Furthermore, on May 27, banks will remain open only in Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Gangtok, Itanagar, Jaipur, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji, Patna, and Vijayawada. Banks will remain closed throughout the rest of the country.


On May 28, banks will remain closed in several cities across the country due to Eid al-Fitr. On this day, banks will remain closed in Belapur, Bengaluru, Chennai, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji, Patna, Srinagar, and Vijayawada.
