ATM: Big news for PF account holder’s, Will the government really give relief to the workers?

Good news for PF account holder’s. From the beginning of 2025, PF account holders will be able to withdraw their PF money directly from ATMs. Labor Secretary Sumita Dawra has made this big announcement on Wednesday. The Ministry of Labor is upgrading its IT systems to provide better services to a large workforce of the country. Govt official says, “We are quickly settling claims filed by members and simplifying the process to improve ease of living. Now a claimant beneficiary can get his claim amount directly from the ATM. This will minimise human intervention and make the process easier.”

Withdrew PF money from ATM!

The ATM will withdraw the money for which the claim has been filed by the employees. Employees have to apply for partial withdrawal. Employees can withdraw PF money only under certain circumstances. Employees can submit a claim for partial withdrawal through the EPFO website (https://www.epfindia.gov.in) or the Umang app.

There will be a big change in the new year

The labour secretary told news agency ANI, “The systems are constantly being upgraded. Every 2 to 3 months, you will see significant improvements. I am confident that from January 2025 there will be a big change. When we will have IT 2.1 version in EPFO. He said that our goal is to bring the IT infrastructure of EPFO to the level of our banking system. There are about 70 million active contributors in the EPFO i.e. Employees Provident Fund Organization. The Labour Secretary also appreciated the efforts of the Government towards improving the EPFO services to enhance Ease of Living.
