ATF Price: While many were taken aback by the surge in commercial gas prices on Budget Day, there’s some good news for the aviation industry. State-owned oil firms have slashed the price of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF), or jet fuel, by almost Rs 1,000 per kiloliter. As a result, ATF prices in Delhi have dropped from Rs 92,323.02 to Rs 91,393.39 per kiloliter. This price cut is also likely to result in lower airfares.
This drop in ATF prices is a huge advantage for airlines, considering that fuel makes up about 40% of their overall operating expenses. Experts think that with cheaper fuel, airlines will see better profits and might even stabilize airfares down the line.
