Apply to Lakshmi Bhandar and Yuvasathi Together: Big Decision by Chief Minister, Here’s How It Will Work

The state government has given a big opportunity to apply for various government schemes of the state at once. From Yuvasathi to Laxmi Bhandar, applications can now be made directly at the assembly-based special camp for multiple projects. This camp is starting tomorrow, Sunday.

Special camp for multiple projects (Government Scheme) of the state government

The state government will hold a camp in every assembly constituency of the state from February 15 to February 26 (excluding government holidays). Applications for Yuvasathi scheme, annual assistance of Rs 4,000 to agricultural labourers and water tax waiver for irrigation water use by farmers will be accepted there. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had announced this earlier. Now it has been learned that new applications for Laxmi Bhandar will also be submitted at this same camp. This has already been announced by advertisements in various newspapers

Lakshmi Bhandar: How many are getting it, how much has the grant increased?

Currently, about 2.42 crore women in the state are receiving financial assistance under the Laxmi Bhandar scheme. On the basis of application, 20.62 lakh more women have been newly brought under this scheme. The Mamata Banerjee-led government has also increased the grant of this scheme in the recently presented interim budget.

  • General category beneficiaries will get Rs 1,500 per month instead of Rs 1,000.
  • SC and ST women will get Rs 1,700 per month instead of Rs 1,200.

What documents will be required for Lakshmi Bhandar’s application?

  • Aadhaar card
  • Caste certificate
  • Xerox photograph of the first page of the bank passbook

This is the first time that applications are being accepted after the announcement of the Yuvasathi scheme. Unemployed youth can apply for this scheme.

Who can apply?

  1. Age should be between 21 and 40 years
  2. Must have passed the secondary or equivalent examination
  3. Applicants can also apply if they are getting any education-related scholarship
  4. This scheme will provide assistance of Rs 1,500 per month, for a maximum of five years.

Documents required for Yuvsathi application

  • Aadhar card
  • Caste certificate
  • Xerox of the first page of the bank passbook
  • Xerox of the admit card
  • 2 copies of passport size photographs

The state government has said that applications for all these schemes (Government Schemes) can be submitted simultaneously in the assembly-based camp starting from Sunday.
