 Online Aadhaar updation made easy

In the past, if you wanted to update or correct your Aadhaar details, you had to go to an Aadhaar service center. Now, you can do this online. If you have a computer or laptop, great! If not, no worries—you can use your mobile phone!

Just head over to the UIDAI website, or search on Google for Aadhaar Update… When the links pop up on your screen, click on the UIDAI link (https://uidai.gov.in/hi/my-aadhaar-hi/update-your-aadhaar-hi.html).

The information you enter (like your name or address) will be automatically checked against government documents such as your PAN card, passport, driver’s license, or ration card. This quick and secure process makes your task much simpler.

Fingerprint, Iris Scan or Photo Update Fee: Rs 125
Online document updation till June 14, 2026: Free
Service center updation charges from June 15, 2026: Rs 75

Linking your Aadhaar with your PAN is a must

As the government has been emphasizing for quite some time, every PAN card holder is required to link their PAN with Aadhaar. You have until December 31, 2025, to get this done. That gives you two full months from today.

If you fail to do this, your PAN card will be inactive starting January 1, 2026, and you won’t be able to use it for any financial or tax-related activities. According to the new rules, Aadhaar verification will now be necessary when applying for a new PAN card.

Change No. 3: KYC process with Aadhaar is now easier at banks

The Know Your Customer (KYC) process has been significantly streamlined for banks and other financial institutions. You can now complete your KYC using Aadhaar OTP verification. Additionally, video KYC is an option, but face-to-face verification is still required. Overall, the whole process will be quicker and paperless.
