Procedure to link or change mobile number with Aadhaar
To book an appointment online, you will have to follow some important steps.
- UIDAI website https://appointments.uidai.gov.in will go on.
- Select the “Book Appointment” option.
- Select your city and nearest Aadhaar centre.
- Select the option “Mobile Number Update” under Aadhaar Update/Correction Service.
- Its fee is Rs 50.
- Go to the center and update
- Visit your nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra on the scheduled date.
- There you will have to fill a form in which you will enter your new mobile number.
- The officials will verify your fingerprint or biometric.
- Required Documents
- Only a photocopy of the Aadhaar card is sufficient.
- No additional documents are required.
- Fees and update times
- For this a fee of ₹50 has to be paid.
- Usually the mobile number gets updated within 5 to 10 days.
- Once the update is complete, your new mobile number will be registered in the UIDAI system.
