Have these documents ready
To add a new member to the ration card, you’ll need to have some essential documents ready in advance. These include an income certificate, caste certificate, residence certificate, bank account passbook, passport-size photo, and mobile number. Scan all documents except the mobile number and save them digitally on your phone so you can upload them immediately when needed.
How to Download Mera Ration App 2.0
To add a new member’s name to the ration card, you’ll need to use Mera Ration App 2.0. This app is available on the Google Play Store and doesn’t take up much storage. You can easily download it using mobile data. Go to the Play Store, search for Mera Ration App 2.0, and install the app on your phone. Verify using the OTP received on your Aadhaar-linked mobile number. Once the verification is complete, set a PIN for the app, eliminating the need to re-enter the OTP.

How to Add a New Member’s Name to the App
After opening the app, you’ll see the Family Details option. Clicking on this will reveal the details of all the family members already registered on your ration card. Select the “Add New Member” option here. Then, fill in all the required information and upload the pre-scanned documents. Once you’ve filled in all the information correctly, click the “Submit” button. Once you submit, your application process will be completed online.
