Abu Dhabi Indian Winner: Anilkumar Bolla Madhavrao Bolla, a 29-year-old Indian expatriate living in Abu Dhabi, made a fortune on a day when he made history in the UAE lottery. He was declared the winner of the country’s first 100 million dirham jackpot—the largest prize ever.
The UAE Lottery announced Anilkumar’s incredible win in an official video released on Monday. The draw was held on October 18th during the 23rd edition of the “Lucky Day” event. According to reports, he achieved this impressive victory by surpassing the odds of one in 8.8 million.
How did he choose the winning ticket?
Anilkumar, who has been living in Abu Dhabi for the past year and a half, said he chose the “Easy Pick” option. This feature allows the system to automatically generate numbers. However, he deliberately chose the number 11 from a “set of months” in honor of his mother’s birthday.
He explained, “I didn’t use any special technique. I just bought the ticket from Easy Pick, but the last number was associated with my mother’s birthday, so it’s special.” He purchased 12 tickets in a single transaction.

What happened at the moment of winning?
Anilkumar said he was completely shocked when he heard the news of his win. He was sitting on the couch and, when he saw his name on the screen, he was in disbelief for a moment. He said, “All I could think was, ‘Yes, it’s true! I’ve won.'”

How will he use the money?
Excited by his win, Anilkumar said he plans to use the money responsibly. He says he wants to invest wisely and do something big with this money.
He said, “After winning, I had only one thing on my mind—I had to spend it wisely. I want to make my dreams come true.” Referring to his personal desires, he said he wants to buy a supercar and celebrate with his family at a luxury resort.
Plans for Family and Society
Anil Kumar says he wants to settle his parents in the UAE so he can spend time with them. He said, “My parents had small dreams, and I want them all to come true. I want to take care of them and give them the life they deserve.”
He also said he will donate a portion of the prize money to a charity. He believes that a portion of the money should reach those in true need.
