According to the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) holiday schedule, banks may be closed for three days in the first week of August (August 3 to August 9) due to various regional festivals and weekends in many states nationwide.

As per the RBI schedule, banking services will be impacted on the following days this week:
August 4, Tuesday (Ker Puja): In Tripura (Agartala), all public and private sector banks will be closed for Ker Puja.
August 8, Second Saturday (Tendong Lo Rum Phat, Second Saturday): Banks in Sikkim will be closed for Tendong Lo Rum Phat, a significant festival of the Lepcha tribe. Since it’s the second Saturday of the month, banks nationwide, including State Bank of India, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, and PNB, will observe a national holiday.
August 9, Sunday: All bank branches nationwide will be closed as Sundays are regular weekly holidays.

August 13 (Thursday): Only banks in Manipur will be closed for Patriot’s Day.
August 15 (Saturday): A national holiday across the country for Independence Day.

August 25 (Tuesday): Banks will be closed in Kerala and Andhra Pradesh for the first Onam, Milad-un-Nabi, and Milad-e-Sharif.
August 26 (Wednesday): Banks will be closed in various states such as Delhi, UP, Bihar, Maharashtra, Karnataka, MP, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, and Kerala for Eid-e-Milad/Thiruvonam.
August 28 (Friday): Banks will be closed in several states including Gujarat, Rajasthan, MP, UP, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh for Raksha Bandhan.
Digital services will be available even when banks are closed.
Despite the closure of bank branches, financial transactions will not be disrupted for customers. Digital banking services are operational round the clock, every day of the year. UPI, mobile banking, and online fund transfers will be accessible without any interruptions. ATMs will be available for cash withdrawals and deposits.
