Bank Holiday: If you have important work related to the bank and plan to visit it in the coming days, you can still do so. Although most bank-related work is done through net banking nowadays, some tasks still require going to the bank branch. Like depositing money, getting new chequebooks, etc.
According to the RBI calendar, government and private sector banks across the country will remain closed between June 29 and June 30 next week. All government and private banks including State Bank of India (SBI), HDFC (HDFC), ICICI (ICICI) will remain holiday. In such a case, you should know before going to the bank when the bank holidays are going to be in your city.
Why will banks remain closed?
Bank holidays will be observed in different states in the coming days due to certain regional festivals and celebrations. Additionally, as per the RBI calendar, banks will remain closed for just one day in some places between these dates, so the holiday may be longer in some states. In such a situation, if you do not make the mistake of going to the bank without seeing the list, you will face trouble.
There will be a bank holiday in Shimla on June 29 on the occasion of Sant Guru Kabir Jayanti. Besides, banks will remain closed on June 30 in Aizol due to the regional public holiday Remna Ni.
