Vida VX2 Plus: Electric scooters are gaining popularity in India, and brands are stepping up with new technology. Vida, Hero’s EV brand, has now introduced a unique scooter that comes with two removable batteries. This scooter has been designed for buyers who worry about range and want flexibility while charging. With competitive pricing and features, it challenges big players like Ola, TVS, Ather, and Bajaj in the fast-growing EV market.
Price and Variants
Vida VX2 comes in two models—Go and Plus. The base model VX2 Go is priced at ₹99,490 ex-showroom. The higher model VX2 Plus costs ₹1.10 lakh ex-showroom. Both variants are positioned to compete with popular scooters in the premium EV space.
Dual Battery Advantage
A major highlight of the Vida VX2 Plus is its dual battery setup. The 3.4kWh pack includes two removable batteries that together provide a riding range of up to 142 km. Interestingly, the scooter can even run on one battery while the other is charging. For buyers looking at daily convenience, both batteries can be removed and charged at any household socket.
Range and Charging
The Vida VX2 Plus offers a range of 142 km, while the VX2 Go variant delivers 92 km with its 2.2kWh portable battery. Charging the scooter from 0 to 80 percent with a regular charger takes around six hours. On the other hand, fast charging at a public station can power it up to 60 percent in just one hour.
Performance and Speed
Powering the Vida VX2 is a 6kW PMS motor. With this setup, the Plus variant accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in only 3.1 seconds, while the Go variant does it in 4.2 seconds. The scooter rides on 12-inch alloy wheels, paired with telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock suspension for stability.
Features and Design
The Vida VX2 is offered in seven attractive colours, giving buyers a wide range of choices. The VX2 Go variant features 33.2 litres of under-seat storage, while the VX2 Plus offers 27.2 litres. On the tech side, it comes with LED lighting, turn-by-turn navigation, cloud connectivity, live ride data, and a 4.3-inch TFT display. A standout feature is remote immobilisation, making it the only scooter in its class with such security.
