Tata Motors is once again preparing to make a big splash in the Indian automobile industry. This time, the company is all set to reintroduce its iconic Tata Sierra in a new avatar. The new Sierra is not just a car, but a bold statement from Tata – “India’s first lifestyle SUV is back!”

Iconic Design

Remind you that the first Sierra was known for its iconic curved rear glass windows, and this time Tata has given the SUV a modern design while retaining the same DNA. It will now be a 5-door monocoque SUV, with new-age technology and powertrain options.

ICE or EV

There is a discussion in the auto industry that the Sierra ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) will be launched first and the Sierra EV will come after that. However, the company has not yet officially confirmed this.

It is estimated for the Sierra EV to have a battery like the Harrier EV and a dual motor setup, which will give it tremendous off-road performance despite the short wheelbase. That is, whether there are city roads or bumpy paths of mountains, Sierra will prove to be strong everywhere.

Features

The new Tata Sierra will be at the forefront of features, not just in power and design. This will be Tata’s first SUV to be given the Triple Screen Dashboard – for a screen infotainment, the second for the instrument cluster of the driver and the third for the convenience of the co-driver.

In addition, it will feature high-tech features such as Dual-zone climate control, 360-degree camera, Level-2 ADAS, Panoramic sunroof, Ventilated seats, Wireless charging pad, Ambient lighting, Leatherte upholstery, and Cruise control.

The special thing is that the company can offer its new 1.5L GDI Turbo Petrol Engine, which will give 170 PS power and 280 Nm torque. At the same time, Diesel variants can get either 2.0L Stellantis sourced engine or 1.5L unit of Curvv.
