Amidst the increasing demand for electric cars, Tata Motors has made its most popular EV Nexon EV even more powerful. The company has updated it with a new battery pack, more power and advanced features. Now it will be known as Nexon EV 45, in which a 40.5kWh battery has been replaced. Its ARAI certified range is up to 489km, which is more than the previous model. The biggest thing is that this month Tata Motors is offering a huge discount of up to Rs 40,000 on this electric SUV, which includes benefits like Green Bonus, Exchange Bonus and Scrappage Bonus.

New battery pack and strong performance

The Tata Nexon EV 45 has a larger 45kWh battery. The company claims that this battery has 15% more energy-density, which has increased its range. The special thing is that this battery is as big as the earlier 40.5kWh unit, but its weight has increased slightly. Due to this update, its ARAI certified range has now become 489km, which is 24km more than the old 40.5kWh model.

If we talk about real world conditions, then according to the company, the C75 cycle range of Nexon EV 45 will be around 350-370km. The C75 cycle is being said to be closest to real world driving conditions.

How will the real world driving range be

The city driving efficiency of the Nexon EV 45 has been measured at 7.9km/kWh and 7.67km/kWh on the highway. This means that on a full charge, it will be able to give a range of about 350km, which is 77km more than the previous model. During this testing, the car was driven in eco mode, where the torque output was limited to 70%. Also, regenerative braking was kept at level 2 in the city and level 1 on the highway, so that driving could be optimized.

Major improvement in power and charging time

With the battery update, the power of the Nexon EV 45 has also increased by 5hp. That is, now it will give more powerful performance. Charging time has also been improved. Now it will be charged from 10 to 80% in just 48 minutes, whereas the old model used to take 56 minutes.

Tata has added a panoramic sunroof to this new model, which makes it even more premium. Additionally, it will now be available in new variants such as Creative, Fearless, Empowered, Empowered+ and Red Dark.

Tata Motors is offering discounts of up to Rs 40,000 this month, which includes Green Bonus, Exchange Bonus and Scrappage Bonus. However, this offer will be valid only till March 31, 2025, so it is important to decide quickly.
