Tata Curvv EV vs Mahindra XUV.e9 : Two sparkling new launches in the growing electric vehicle world of India are the Curvv EV from Tata and the Mahindra XUV.e9. Both these SUVs have eye-catching exteriors, solid performance under the hood, and futuristic technology, and yet they serve different types of consumers. What makes each special lets probe into this.
Powertrain & Range
The Tata Curvv EV is available in two battery options-a 45 kWh pack that promises up to 150 PS, and a claimed 502 km range; and a 55 kWh pack that produces 167 PS and its claimed range is 585 km. Hence you may expect, realistically, around 350 km with the 45 kWh and about 425 km with the 55 kWh pack. It takes just under 40 minutes to charge from 10 to 80 percent and supports a V2L power supply.
The Mahindra XUV.e9 has LFP batteries in 59 kWh and 79 kWh. Performance is good-as strong as 231 PS with the smaller pack going all the way to 286 PS with the bigger one. Claimed range runs between 542-656 km, and it doesn’t spend time charging: around 20 minutes to get to 80% using up to 175 kW DC chargers.

Design & Interior Features
The style here is a sleek coupe-SUV look with a sloping roofline, LED bar lights, and hidden door handles. Inside, onboard will be a floating 12.3-inch infotainment screen, 10.25-inch digital cluster, ventilated seats, JBL audio, panoramic sunroof, and V2L/V2V charging. Safety-wise, it scores high with Level 2 ADAS, with airbags of six in number, and a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating.
The XUV.e9 also comes with a bold coupe look and has a size of 19 inches across thus creating space inside the boot. The internal view will have the 3-screen layout, Harman Kardon sound system, panoramic roof, and wireless features, not to mention the ADAS coverage that is robust with seven airbags and Level 2 driver aids. Thus, five stars in safety ratings were also earned.
