The Indian cruiser motorcycle segment is dominated by companies like Jawa, Yezdi, and Royal Enfield. Royal Enfield’s vehicles have consistently led the sales charts thanks to their powerful performance and attractive looks. Now, with the implementation of GST 2.0, the prices of Royal Enfield’s 350cc bikes have dropped significantly, making them more affordable for even more customers.
Bumper Discounts on 350cc Bikes
Following the government’s reduction in GST rates and the removal of compensation cess, Royal Enfield has announced price reductions across its entire 350cc range. These new prices are effective from September 22, 2025. The starting price of the 350cc range is ₹1.38 lakh for the base variant of the Hunter 350, while the most expensive model in the range, the Goa Classic variant, is available at an ex-showroom price of ₹2.20 lakh.
Royal Enfield has reduced the price of its Hunter 350 by ₹12,000 to ₹15,000. The Bullet 350 has received a price reduction of ₹15,000 to ₹18,000. Meanwhile, the Classic 350 is now priced between ₹16,000 and ₹19,000 cheaper, and the Meteor 350 is seeing a discount of ₹17,000 and ₹19,000.
Bigger bikes become more expensive
While prices of the 350cc range have decreased, the prices of the company’s larger-engined bikes have increased. This is because bikes with engines larger than 350cc will now be charged 40% GST, up from 31% (28% GST + 3% cess) previously. The models whose prices have increased include the Scram 440, Himalayan 450, Guerrilla 450, Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, Shotgun 650, Bear 650, and Super Meteor 650. The Super Meteor 650 has seen the highest price increase of around ₹30,000.
Speaking of the price hikes on these bigger bikes, the Scram 440 has seen a price hike from ₹15,131 to ₹15,641. The Guerrilla 450 has seen a price hike from ₹17,387 to ₹18,479, while the Himalayan 450 has seen a price hike from ₹20,733 to ₹21,682.
The Interceptor 650 is now priced higher from ₹22,522 to ₹24,604. The prices of Continental GT 650 and Classic 650 have also increased from ₹23,712 to ₹25,645 and from ₹24,633 to ₹25,607, respectively. The prices of Shotgun 650 and Bear 650 have also increased from ₹26,874 to ₹27,889 and from ₹25,545 to ₹26,841.
This GST change is a mixed bag for Royal Enfield customers. While buying a bike in the 350cc segment has become easier, those dreaming of bigger and more expensive bikes will now have to loosen their pockets even more.
