When will it be launched in India?

First of all, talking about its launch, let us tell you that Renault Boreal will be launched globally by the end of 202,5 but it can reach India by 2026. However, in the Indian mark,et it can be branded as “Duster” or any of its variants, as this name is already popular here. Renault has already started testing this SUV on Indian roads, whose spy shots have also surfaced.

Design

Talking about its design, premium touches like 19-inch alloy wheels, panoramic sunroof, aluminum skid plates and contrasting black roof have been given in terms of design. The look of Boreal is aggressive and stylish which makes it different from other SUVs in the segment.

Interior

From inside, the cabin of Boreal resembles Dacia Bigster, but it has more premium features. Its highlights include ambient LED lighting with 4colouror options, blue and grey dual-tone soft-touch upholstery, dual-zone climate control and rear AC vents.

For the same infotainment system, two 10-inch OpenR displays have been given, which support apps like Google Maps, Google Assistant, Amazon Music and Prime Video. It will also get features like wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, wireless charging and powered front seats.

Safety Features

Now talking about safety features, there is no compromise on safety in Renault Boreal. It has 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control and Level 2 ADAS suite. ADAS includes features like lane-keeping assist, automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control which make long drives even safer.

Engine

Talking about its engine, Boreal will be launched in the US with a new 1.3L TCe turbocharged petrol engine, which will also be available in Flex Fuel variants. The petrol version will work to deliver 156 hp in Latin America and 138 hp in Turkey. With the help of which this SUV will complete the 0-100 kmph sprint in just 9.26 seconds. In India, it will be manufactured at Renault’s Chennai plant, and its pricing here can be close to Alcazar and XUV700.
