Relief for People – Book Gas Cylinder with a Missed Call! Know the Update

New Delhi: Due to tensions in the Middle East, gas supplies worldwide are currently facing disruptions. In India, too, significant difficulties are being encountered at the grassroots level regarding the procurement of gas cylinders. Needy individuals are unable to secure supplies of LPG cylinders, leading to a worsening of the situation.

Although official government statistics claim that cylinder sales are on the rise, gas agencies and private stores remain crowded with customers. Due to server-related issues, the daily supply of LPG cylinders is currently limited to 20,000 units. If you are facing difficulties in booking a cylinder, do not worry. A new number has been released specifically for booking gas cylinders. This eliminates the need to struggle with the server-related glitches experienced previously; you can now book your cylinder directly via a missed call.

Server Disrupted Due to Increased Load

The surge in gas cylinder bookings has overwhelmed the servers, causing distress among customers. Consequently—and due to these server issues—the daily supply of LPG cylinders is currently capped at 20,000 units. The pressure on the system has intensified significantly due to an additional 15,000 bookings from customers who typically purchase cylinders only occasionally throughout the year. This overload has impacted the servers, resulting in difficulties for users attempting to book cylinders.

If you are experiencing trouble making a booking, a dedicated number has been released to assist you. Vineet Kumar, the District Nodal Officer for Indian Oil Corporation, stated that there are 85 gas agencies within the district, serving a total of 1.306 million (13.06 lakh) connections. Currently, 19,221 bookings are being registered daily. Against this volume—and including pending requests—a total of 19,644 cylinders are being supplied daily. This surge is partly driven by panic, particularly among PNG (Piped Natural Gas) subscribers and families holding multiple gas connections.

How to Book a Cylinder

If you are facing difficulties with online cylinder booking, you can now complete the process via a missed call. Indian Oil Corporation has released the numbers 8927225667 and (for IVRS services) 8391990070 for this purpose.

You can use these numbers to book your LPG cylinder simply by placing a missed call. This will ensure that customers do not face any inconvenience. Those in need can easily book LPG cylinders. The server was disrupted due to unnecessary bookings made by customers with PNG connections or multiple connections.
