Good news for SUV lovers! Renault is going to launch another powerful SUV in the global market and this time it will not leave India alone. Its name is Renault Boreal, which will soon be seen speeding on Indian roads. This car is being tested in Europe but its real earnings will come from emerging markets like India. So let’s know every detail of this upcoming SUV.
Renault Boreal
Renault Boreal is actually built on the Dacia Bigster platform, but the company has completely molded it in its own style. Breaking the old trend, this time Renault has not re-badged the Dacia, as it did earlier with the Duster. Boreal has been given a new look and identity.
Renault Boreal Design
Talking about the design of this SUV, its front has a triple slat grille, slim headlights, and square wheel arches inspired by the Duster. But at the rear, the roofline is slightly sloping at the C-pillar, which gives it a slightly sporty look.
Renault Boreal Engine
Talking about the engine of Renault Boreal, it will have a 1.3 liter turbocharged petrol engine, which will generate 167bhp of power. The special thing is that this engine will also run on ethanol, which is a very popular fuel in South America. Talking about transmission, this SUV will come with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. This combination can be considered quite attractive and performance based for the Indian market.
