Renault Kwid E-Tech EV
The new Renault Kwid EV has been launched in Brazil at an initial price of BRL 99,990, which sits around ₹16 lakhs in Indian currency. It will replace the existing Kwid E-Tech which was based on the older model. Although it does not include some updates with the Euro Spec Dacia Spring EV, its design looks bold and modern more than ever.
The front design now features a new Renault logo that is located just above the charging port. It also features SUV-look styling with vertical grille elements, Y-shaped LED DRLs, and new headlamp design. A new black finished plate connecting the Y-shaped tail lights on the rear side gives the Kwid a premium look.

Exterior
The Brazil-spec Kwid E-Tech EV’s exterior features several subtle yet attractive changes. It now features turn indicators on ORVMs, chunky wheel arch cladding, dual-tone 14-inch wheel covers, and flip-up style door handles.
The door cladding on the side profile gives it a sporty look, while the new color theme introduces a simple yet stylish look to Renault’s EV lineup.
Interior
Speaking of the interior, Renault has made it completely modern and practical. With a new layered dashboard design, it features a large 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The steering wheel is new, and the Y-shaped AC vents add a premium touch to the interior. It also includes features like auto climate control, 290L boot space, and Level-1 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). This means it’s the perfect combination of safety and convenience.
Performance
In the new Renault Kwid EV, the company has delivered 26.8 kWh battery pack, which gives it power from 65 bhp electric motor. The car catches a speed of 0 to 100 km / h in just 14.6 seconds, which is a fairly good performance in its segment.

Despite the small size of the battery pack, Renault claims it will offer a great range, making it an ideal choice for both city driving and deli commutes.

Launch
The enthusiasm for this car has increased considerably in India as it has been spotted several times during testing on Indian roads in recent months. Experts believe that the Kwid EV to be launched in India will have the same design as the Brazil-spec model.
If this model launches in the Indian market, it will directly compete with cars like the Tata Tiago EV and MG Comet EV. Renault can position this model as a budget-friendly electric car, which will see a new competition in the EV segment.
