Bajaj Auto recently launched a new variant of its Platina 110, the Platina 110 NXT, in the Indian market. This new bike is positioned above the base variant and features new color schemes, graphics, and engine updates. Let’s explain the differences between these two variants in detail so you can choose the best bike for your needs.
What are the differences in price and design
The Bajaj Platina 110 NXT was launched in India at an ex-showroom price of ₹74,214, which is ₹2,656 more than the base variant, the Platina 110 (₹71,558).

In terms of design, both bikes share a similar design, but some changes have been made to make the new variant more stylish. The Platina 110 NXT features a chrome bezel around the headlight, new graphics on the body panels, and the headlight cowl. To give it a sportier look, it features blacked-out alloy wheels with rim decals. It’s available in color schemes like Red-Black, Silver-Black, and Yellow-Black.
The base variant also features black alloy wheels with different rim decals. The base variant also comes with knuckle guards for rider safety and is available in colors like Ebony Black, Blue, and Ebony Black Red.
Engine and Features
The Platina 110 NXT features an updated engine that complies with the new OBD-2B regulations. The electronic carburetor has been replaced by an FI (fuel injection) system, which improves engine performance and fuel efficiency. This update is expected to arrive in the base variant soon. Both variants are powered by a 115.45cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 8.5 PS of power and 9.81 Nm of torque. This engine comes mated to a 4-speed gearbox.

Speaking of features, the Platina 110 NXT features an instrument console with an analog speedometer and fuel gauge, along with tell-tale lights. These features are also present in the base variant, but the NXT variant also has a USB charging port located directly above the console. Both bikes have the same halogen headlight (with LED DRLs), taillight, and indicators. However, the NXT variant has a more comfortable and cushioned seat than the base variant.
Suspension and Braking System
Both variants are identical in terms of suspension and braking. Both are equipped with 17-inch blacked-out alloy wheels, telescopic forks, and gas-charged, 5-step preload-adjustable twin rear shock absorbers. Both have 130mm front and 110mm rear drum brakes with CBS (Combined Braking System).
