Maruti Suzuki is all set to strengthen its SUV lineup in India over the coming months. With the rising demand for sport utility vehicles, the company is preparing a variety of models across different sizes and price segments. From electric SUVs to micro and hybrid models, here are the key launches expected from Maruti Suzuki soon.

Maruti Suzuki Escudo

The Escudo is likely to be the first in the line-up. This upcoming SUV will sit below the Grand Vitara in Maruti’s range. However, reports suggest it may be slightly longer than the Grand Vitara. Engine options are expected to be the same as its bigger sibling. A market launch is likely early next month, making it a strong option for buyers looking for a compact five-seater.

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara

Maruti Suzuki’s first all-electric vehicle will be the e Vitara. It will be sold through the Nexa dealership network. The electric SUV will offer two battery pack options, allowing buyers to choose based on their budget and range needs. Built on the dedicated Heartect e platform, the e Vitara is expected to deliver a driving range of more than 500 km on a single charge. Its launch is planned for early next year.

7-Seater Grand Vitara

To cater to the rising demand for larger SUVs, Maruti may introduce a 7-seater version of the Grand Vitara. This model will directly rival the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, and Mahindra XUV700. It is likely to share many features with the current Grand Vitara. This three-row SUV will be aimed at families looking for more space without going too premium.

Maruti Suzuki Micro SUV

Maruti Suzuki is also eyeing the micro SUV market. A new compact SUV is expected between late 2026 and 2027. This model is likely to compete with popular options like the Tata Punch and Hyundai Exter. Reports suggest a hybrid version might be under development, but final details are yet to be confirmed.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Hybrid

A test model of the Fronx with a hybrid system has recently been spotted. It is expected to get a Smart Hybrid setup, similar to what is available on export versions of the Dzire. There is also a possibility of advanced features like ADAS, though official confirmation is still awaited. If launched, the Fronx Hybrid could boost fuel efficiency and attract buyers looking for a greener option.
