Maruti Suzuki Expands Service Network in India
Maruti Suzuki India Limited has formally launched its 5,500th service touchpoint, a milestone which has been reached with the help of its dealer partners. The new facility has been opened in Udaipur, Rajasthan by Executive Officer Service Ram Suresh Akela and Yasuhiro Kawai. With this move, the company is going on to increase its footprint in the country and enhance customer convenience.
More than 40,000 Service Bays Now Active
With the inclusion of this new service center, Maruti Suzuki has nearly 40,000 service bays in operation in India. This vast network provides the company with the ability to service nearly 3 crore vehicles within a single year. During FY 2024-25 alone, Maruti serviced over 2.7 crore vehicles, which is the all-time record annual service number by the company.
Customer Needs Are a Priority
Highlighting the importance of convenient servicing, Maruti Suzuki’s Managing Director and CEO Hisashi Takeuchi mentioned that most customers consider proximity to a service center as a key factor when buying a new car. The goal is to offer reliable and affordable service that brings peace of mind to every customer. Currently, Maruti’s 5,500 touchpoints cover 2,764 cities, a sign of its strong reach and commitment.
Daily Growth of Service Touchpoints
During FY 2024-25, the company added 460 new service touchpoints, adding more than one new service center per day on average. Maruti Suzuki has already established 91 new centers in the current financial year and is targeting 500 additional ones by the end of the year. The company wants to keep expanding its network to serve customers faster and better.
