If you are waiting for Maruti Suzuki’s new electric SUV, e Vitara, then you will have to wait a little longer. The company has recently confirmed that the launch date of e Vitara in India will be by the end of September 2025.

Maruti e Vitara
Maruti Suzuki Chairman R.C. Bhargava said in the company’s Q4 FY2025 earnings call that production of the e Vitara will begin in May-June 2025. But most of the units this year will be exported. He said, “We will make around 70,000 electric vehicles this year, most of will be shipped to overseas markets.”
Launch date
Talking about its launch date, till a few days ago it seemed that e Vitara would be launched by April 2025. Its display models have also reached many showrooms. But now the company has made it clear that the launch will happen by September. It is possible that this delay has happened due to some changes in the market strategy or production plan.
