Good news for car buyers. Maruti’s most popular sub-4m SUV, the Brezza, has now become even more affordable. Following the recently implemented GST rate cuts, prices of all Brezza variants have been reduced, with the top-spec ZXi Plus AT variant seeing the biggest savings of around ₹1.12 lakh. Prices of other variants have been reduced by ₹43,000 to ₹1.07 lakh. This change makes the SUV even more budget-friendly and attractive, especially during the festive season.

New Prices and saving
Brezza’s revised ex-showroom prices have now reached Rs 8.26 lakh to Rs 12.86 lakh after GST deduction. This change has made both manual and automatic variants economical. For example, LXi MT is now available for Rs 8.26 lakh, while ZXi Plus AT has been priced at Rs 12.86 lakh. There has also been an amazing savings in the prices of CNG variants – LXi CNG MT is now available for Rs 9.17 lakh and ZXi CNG MT for Rs 11.31 lakh.
This change is special for customers, as every thousand rupees difference in the sub-4m SUV segment affects the buying decision. Brezza, which was previously over-taxed due to its engine capacity (1,500 cc), has now fallen from 45 percent to 40 percent GST. The deduction also includes compensation cess, which was previously 17 percent.
Price Cut
Despite Brezza being a sub-4 metre SUV, its 1,500 cc engine made it more taxed than other sub-4m models such as Swift or Dzire. Because of this, the total tax was 45 percent. After cutting GST rates, this SUV now gets only 40 percent tax. This change puts customers in direct advantages and makes Brezza more strong in competition.
Maruti has also updated at its Arena and Nexa dealerships after GST rate cuts. The new rates for Brezza have now been implemented across India and are immediately available in the showroom.

Rivals
In the sub-4m SUV segment, the Brezza competes with SUVs like the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Nissan Magnite, and Skoda Kushaq. The GST reduction has made the Brezza even more competitive. Customers are getting premium features and reliable performance at a low price, making it a better choice than its rivals.
