Mahindra Scorpio-N: Mahindra is ready to take its already aggressive Scorpio-N even more futuristic. A fresh teaser from the automaker suggests introducing ADAS features to this tough SUV, making it a smarter and safer vehicle to drive on the roads. Here’s all that the teaser and reports have divulged.
ADAS Coming to Scorpio-N
A new teaser by Mahindra has set hearts racing among SUV enthusiasts. The line “Power always stays on course” straightaway refers to the launch of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), more specifically Lane Keeping Assistance. This feature is already present on Mahindra’s XUV700 and newly introduced XUV 3XO, and now it’s the Scorpio-N’s turn to get intelligent. The teaser doesn’t just hint at autonomous assist but also confirms Mahindra’s move towards premium safety.
Likely Addition of Panoramic Sunroof
Aside from ADAS, rumors point to a significant upgrade – a panoramic sunroof. The Scorpio-N has only a single-pane sunroof now, but this addition could enhance the cabin experience for a premium feel. This development points towards Mahindra’s desire to provide luxury and comfort even in its rugged SUV range.
Engine Power and Performance
Scorpio-N is a stunner under the bonnet as well. It boasts two engine choices – 2.0-litre turbo petrol producing 200bhp and 380Nm torque, and 2.2-litre diesel motor making 172bhp and 400Nm torque. Both of the engines are mated to a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. This is not only a style statement but also an adventure vehicle for enthusiasts.
Improved Safety Features
Mahindra Scorpio-N already has a good reputation for being safe. It already has 6 airbags, ESC, hill hold and hill descent control, ABS, EBD, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX mounting points, SOS call function, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (features in Z8 variants). With ADAS on board as well, its safety credentials are strengthening further.
Variants and Pricing
Scorpio-N is available in eight trims – Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8 S, Z8, Z8 L, Z8 Carbon, and Z8 L Carbon. The prices begin at Rs.13.99 lakh and ascend up to Rs.25.15 lakh (ex-showroom). With these latest updates, the SUV can be expected to deliver even greater value for money, particularly for those interested in performance and intelligent technology combined.
