Mahindra Bolero New Model: Once famous for its tough build and function-first approach, the Mahindra Bolero is in the midst of a drastic makeover. Caught during trials, the new-gen Bolero in the pipeline now appears more premium than ever. With a panoramic sunroof and luxury features in the pipeline, it appears set to take on popular city SUVs.

Sunroof and Premium Touch

One of the most dramatic surprises is the inclusion of a panoramic sunroof. Hitherto reserved for more premium Mahindra variants such as the XUV700 and Scorpio-N, this is a huge step for the Bolero. It represents a move away from its traditional rural workhorse image to a more family-oriented, feature-rich SUV offering.

Fresh Design and Modern Looks

Design refinements are just as dramatic. The SUV will feature 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and round LED headlamps, inspired by the XUV700. Even though it maintains the classic Bolero stance, the updated exterior design lends it a commanding road presence. This new design combines rugged appeal with urban chic.

High-Tech Interior Refurbishments

The interiors will be undergoing sweeping changes. Although the dashboard was not shown during the tests, insiders hint at the availability of a floating 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment screen. Bolero will finally provide such a sophisticated cabin experience for the first time, revealing the company’s adamant plans to attract urban customers too.

Luxury Cabin Experience

Inside, the new Bolero may offer a semi-digital instrument cluster with a TFT screen. Other features that are expected to be added are dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, powered driver seat, and ambient lighting. These components will make long drives more comfortable and keep the cabin in pace with market trends.

Convenience Features

Convenience takes a serious hike with auto-dimming IRVM, auto headlamps and wipers, keyless entry, and push-button start/stop. These are not features often on display in earlier Bolero models, but they speak volumes of the brand’s direction toward luxury and technology-integrated aspects without placing robustness on the backburner.

Engine and Performance Expectations

Under the bonnet, the new-gen Bolero can be offered with both petrol and diesel variants. It will reportedly feature a detuned variation of Scorpio-N’s powertrain range. The existing Bolero deploys mHAWK75 diesel that pumps out 75PS and 210Nm torque. Another 1.5-litre diesel engine produces 100PS and 260Nm. This time, an automatic transmission could be added as well, providing more driving convenience.
