There are constant complaints from many parts of the country that some government employees are openly demanding bribes from people in the name of making or correcting ration cards. Needy families, for whom ration cards are a great convenience, are getting troubled by the arbitrariness and corruption of such employees.
Sometimes the excuse of lack of documents is made, and sometimes money is demanded in the name of moving the file forward. This is a serious problem that affects those people the most who should get the most benefit from government schemes. But now you do not need to worry. The general public can now directly complain against such corrupt employees.
Where to complain about corrupt employees

If a government employee asks you for a bribe in exchange for making a ration card or any government work, you can immediately complain about it. Some major platforms are available to complain:
Complaints at the district level
First of all, file a complaint with the District Food and Civil Supplies Officer or Food and Supply Department of your district. This is the first and most effective step. Here you can lodge a written complaint or meet the officer directly.
Complaints at the state level
If satisfactory action is not taken from the district level, you can contact higher officials or special anti-corruption bodies. File a complaint in the Lokayukta office of your state. Lokayukta is an independent body that investigates corruption cases. This department also looks into cases related to the corruption of government employees. ACB is active in many states, where you can directly complain about corruption.
Online portals and toll-free helplines
Under the Digital India initiative, the government has also provided many easy online ways for the general public to lodge complaints:
Every state government has created online public hearing portals for its citizens, where you can register your complaints from home. All you have to do is visit the public hearing portal of your state and register your complaint.
Many states have also issued toll-free helpline numbers to lodge direct complaints against corruption. By calling these numbers, you can register your complaint immediately.
Complaint at Central Level
There is also the CPGRAMS (Centralized Public Grievance Redress And Monitoring System) portal under the Central Government, where you can register complaints related to any central or state government department. It is an integrated system that routes your complaint to the concerned department and helps to track its status.
