Kia Clavis: Kia India, which sells popular vehicles like Sonet, Seltos, and Carens, is now going to launch another cool car. Kia India has recently released the new teaser of its new car, which will be named as Clavis. The company has said that Clavis will be a part of the MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) segment, but it will be completely different from Carens. This is not its facelift version.
The design of the Clavis will be now completely new. Like Carens, it will now compete even more strongly with the Maruti Suzuki XL6, Hyundai Alcazar, and Toyota Innova Hycross. The company can unveil this car on May 8. This new MPV is going to be an exciting option in the Indian market.
Amazing features of Kia Clavis
Kia has shown some special features of Clavis in the teaser. It will also be provided with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) Level 2 and LED projector headlamps along with LED daytime running lamps. Apart from this, a panoramic sunroof and a fully digital driver display are also visible in the teaser, which makes it even more premium.
Let us tell you that Kia Carens is a 6 or 7-seater MPV, but the layout of Clavis is expected to be different from Carens, which can potentially see dual 10.25-inch integrated screens and connected lighting.
Strong look of Clavis
The size of new Clavis will be almost similar to the Kia Carens. However, it will get a redesigned bumper, new light elements, roof rails, and newly designed alloy wheels. The very special thing is that the new road presence of the Kia Clavis will be better and stronger than the Kia Carens. Clavis is likely to be positioned above Carens, so it is expected to have more features.
Therefore, it is being speculated that it will get ventilated seats, a newly designed dashboard, as well as new upholstery and colors. Other new features may include a 360-degree parking camera and a larger infotainment system. Its attractive design will attract customers.
Engine Options
The Clavis is also expected to get the same engine as options that are now available in the Kia Carens. The first is a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine, which generates 113 bhp of power and 144 Nm of torque and comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
Apart from this, there is also a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine that produces 158 bhp of power and 253 Nm of torque and is available with a 6-speed iMT transmission or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. A 1.5-litre diesel engine is also available, which generates 115 bhp of power and 250 Nm of torque and can be paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. These powerful engine options will suit the needs of every type of driver.
