Kia India has discontinued almost all variants of its popular MPV Carens and now only the Premium (O) trim is available for sale. This decision has come at a time when the company has recently introduced the new model Carens Clavis.

Kia has decided to remove 8 variants of Carens from the market in India, which include Premium, Gravity, Prestige, Prestige (O), Prestige Plus, Prestige Plus (O), Luxury Plus and X-Line. This clearly means that now the company will sell this model in only one variant. In such a situation, it is believed that the old version will now probably be used for the fleet and taxi market.
Carens Premium (O)
Kia Carens will now be available only in Premium (O) variants, and that too with a 7-seater configuration. It has three engine options
- 1.5L naturally-aspirated petrol engine – ₹11.41 lakh
- 1.5L turbo petrol engine (with iMT gearbox) – ₹12.65 lakh
- 1.5L diesel engine – ₹13.16 lakh
