Mahindra SUV: Mahindra has introduced a fierce discount drive for June, focusing on its electric SUV line. With the spectacular price reduction of ₹2.50 lakh, the company is clearing stocks of the XUV400 and is a strong contender to buy for EV customers this month. The action intends to improve sales that fell with the launch of new models like BE 6 and XUV.e9.

Discount and Pricing Update

The largest highlight this June is the ₹2.50 lakh cash discount on the Mahindra XUV400 EL Pro variant. Priced from ₹16.74 lakh (ex-showroom) originally, this big cash offer reduces the effective price considerably. Mahindra’s rationale for this steep pricing seems to be clearing stocks, as the XUV400 registered only 287 unit sales last month.

Design and Cabin Improvements

The new XUV400 PRO line-up has two trims – EC PRO and EL PRO – which come with significant improvements in design and technology. The dashboard has been updated with a more sophisticated climate control design. A piano black insert is now added on the passenger side to give the cabin that extra premium feel. Even the AC vents in the middle of the cabin have been relocated to accommodate a larger infotainment unit.

Improved Technology and Infotainment

One of the best updates is the extensive 10.25-inch touchscreen interface, along with a 10.25-inch digital driver display. The steering wheel has also received an update to align with the design of the XUV700, providing a better premium driving experience.

Power and Range Options

The XUV400 comes with a choice of two battery packs. The 34.5 kWh variant has a certified range of 375 km, and the bigger 39.4 kWh pack has a higher range of 456 km. Both these range values are high enough to make the EV appropriate for both daily commutes and long drives.

Comfort and Convenience Features

When it comes to creature comforts, the SUV now features a dual-zone automatic AC system, rear passengers with Type-C USB charging ports, and new rear AC vents added. It also gets wireless phone charging, push-button start/stop, and a height-adjustable driver seat. For the first time, the XUV400 now gets a panoramic sunroof, which is an additional draw.

Safety Enhancements

Safety has also been upgraded. The SUV has six airbags, electronic stability control (ESP), a rearview camera, and a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). These features bring it in line with today’s safety standards and make it a more serious player in the EV category.
