Hero Splendor: Hero Splendor has again become India’s top-selling two-wheeler. In June 2025, more than 2.67 lakh units of Splendor were sold, leaving behind all other motorbikes. This motorbike is renowned for its robust engine, high mileage of approximately 73 kmpl, and low maintenance expense. These advantages make it the first preference for daily commutation and long-term cost savings.

Market Leader in Two-Wheelers

According to SIAM, more than 13.2 lakh two-wheelers were sold during June 2025. Among those, the highest demand was for commuter motorcycles and urban-use scooters. Hero Splendor unequivocally topped the charts with their unmatched figures. Hero HF Deluxe was second at 97,770 units, and Honda Shine was third with 93,975 units sold. Bajaj Pulsar also fared well among new-generation bikers with sales of 83,715 units.

Top-Selling Motorcycles in June

Hero Glamour, TVS Apache, and Hero Passion were also among the top 10 bestsellers. TVS Raider, Honda Unicorn, and Hero Xtreme 160R rounded off the list. These figures indicate that 100cc–125cc bikes are still the first preference of most Indian consumers. Their cost, mileage, and dependability are major factors contributing to their popularity.

Scooter Sales in Cities

In scooters, Honda Activa retained its position with 1.81 lakh units. TVS Jupiter sold 60,398 units followed by Suzuki Access with 47,876 units. Hero Xoom and TVS NTorq also saw good sales. Yamaha Ray ZR was among these lists with more than 12,000 units sold too. But electric scooters couldn’t get in the top list this time. Post subsidy cuts, their sales dipped a little.

Premium Segment Picking Up Speed

On the premium segment side, Royal Enfield Classic 350 performed well with more than 57,000 units sold. Meteor 350 and Hunter 350 also performed well. Hero XPulse 200 clocked 4,234 units in sales, while RE Himalayan 450 sold 3,291 units. KTM 390 series also clocked sales of more than 1,000 units. These figures indicate that though the premium bike segment is on the upswing, the majority of buyers still opt for affordable ones.
