Citroen C3: French automaker Citroen has reduced prices of its cheapest model in India, the C3. The price cut is up to ₹98,000, and it is now even more competitive for customers. The entry-level Live variant now begins at a mere ₹5.25 lakh. This bold pricing may threaten competitors such as Tata Punch and Maruti Fronx in the market.
Price Reduction Across Variants
Citroen has cut prices across all C3 variants. The base Live MT receives the maximum slash of ₹98,000. The mid-level C3 Feel and Feel (O) variants receive a cut of ₹25,000 each. With this update, the C3 becomes one of the cheapest crossover cars in India, offering the usability of a hatchback with the looks of a small SUV.
Engine and Performance Options
The C3 is available with two petrol engine choices. The 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor generates 80 bhp power and 115 Nm torque, and has a 5-speed manual transmission. The more powerful 1.2-litre turbo petrol motor generates 109 bhp and 190 Nm torque, and is available with a 6-speed manual or automatic. Mileage for both is at 19.3 kmpl, while the turbo automatic is 18.3 kmpl.
