Design

First of all, talking about its design, the design of BYD e7 is based on the company’s Ocean theme which is also seen in Seal EV. However, it is not very aggressive but gives an elegant and premium look.

This car has features like 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and taillights. The interior has features like 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 5-inch full digital instrument cluster, rear AC vents and multiple USB ports. Due to the long wheelbase, the legroom on the rear seats is also quite good.

Powertrain

In terms of powertrain, BYD e7 comes with two battery options. The variant with 48 kWh battery has a WLTP range of 450 KM while the variant with 57.6 kWh battery has a range of 520 KM. Both variants have a single motor (front-wheel drive) which produces 134 BHP power and 180 Nm torque. The top speed of the car is 150 KM/H. Although it is not a performance oriented car, it is quite sufficient for city and highway driving.

Price and size

The BYD e7 is priced in China between CNY 103,800 and CNY 115,800 (roughly Rs. 12.33 lakhs and 13.74 lakhs). This price is comparable to a mid-range SUV in India, but the e7 is a full-size sedan with dimensions of

It is slightly smaller than the Skoda Superb and Toyota Camry, but costs a lot less than them. Currently, this car is available only in China and some ASEAN countries, but if BYD brings it to India, it could come as a CBU (Completely Built Unit), like the eMAX 7 and Atto 3.
