Auto Expo 2025: India has unveiled its first solar electric car at Auto Expo 2025. Named Eva, this innovative vehicle operates entirely on solar energy. The ex-showroom price starts at Rs 3.25 lakh, with three variants available: 9 kWh, 12 kWh, and 18 kWh.

Prices for the different models range from Rs 3.25 lakh to Rs 5.99 lakh, allowing customers to choose a battery option that best suits their needs. Pre-bookings are now open, requiring a nominal deposit of just Rs 5,000 to secure your reservation.

Exclusive offer

Delivery of the Eva is expected in 2026, and the first 25,000 customers will enjoy exclusive perks, including an extended battery warranty and three years of complimentary vehicle connectivity.

Special feature

The Eva boasts impressive performance, with a top speed of 70 km/h and the ability to accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 5 seconds. Additionally, the optional solar roof can provide charging for up to 3,000 km.

Designed as a two-seater city car, Eva is tailored for modern urban challenges, making it an ideal choice for navigating congested streets. Once fully charged, it offers a practical range of 250 km. The car features liquid battery cooling, a laptop charger, Apple CarPlay TM, a panoramic glass sunroof, and Android Auto TM. This compact solar vehicle presents a cost-effective alternative to petrol cars, with a running cost of only Rs 0.5 per kilometer, significantly cheaper than traditional fuel options.
