Tata Punch EV 2026 Facelift – Electric cars are no longer just a matter of the future, but are becoming everyday needs. Keeping this trend in mind, Tata Motors has launched an updated version of its popular micro SUV. Yes, the 2026 Tata Punch EV Facelift is now on the market with new features, improved technology and affordable prices.

The special thing is that its base variant Smart 30 is only available in ₹9.69 lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai) if you buy it whole. And if you choose the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) scheme, the price starts at ₹6.49 lakhs.

Variants and Price

New Punch EV is offered in five trims. Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered and Empowered+. That is, there is something for every kind of buyer, from budget to feature-loaded options.

The base variant Smart 30 is priced at ₹9.69 lakhs, while Smart+ 30 is priced at ₹10.29 lakhs. Smart+ is available in 40 ₹10.89 lakhs if you want more range. It gets 40 kWh battery which is more suitable for long distance.

Smart 30 Base Variant

The lineup starts with Smart 30 and has a 30 kWh battery pack. This battery gives a range of about 265 kilometers in real-world. This range is perfectly adequate for the Daily Commute in the city.

This base variant is offered in four colors – Supernova Copper, Pure Gray, Pristine White and Bengal Rouge. Even if it is entry level trim, it is not empty handed at all in terms of features.

Interior and Technology

Talking about the interior, you get a simple but practical cabin as soon as you sit inside. The 4-inch digital instrument display shows the necessary information clearly. The driver seat is height-adjustable, keeping comfort even in long drives.

Smart 30 offers iRA.ev connectivity, including smartwatch integration. Apart from this, facilities like High-Beam Alert System and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) are also given. 15-inch steel wheels come with covers, front power windows and everything needed to meet basic needs exists.

Smart+ and Smart+ 40

Smart+ 30 may be a better option for you if you want a few more features. It offers an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Also features such as steering mounted controls, 65W dual USB Type-C charging port, remote key, and shark-fin antenna.

Now talk to Smart+ 40’s. It comes in ₹10.89 lakhs and gets 40 kWh battery pack. According to ARAI its range is up to 355 km. This variant is more suitable for long distance travelers.

In addition it offers Eco, City and Sport drive modes, electronic parking brake with auto hold, reverse camera and 16-inch steel wheels. The special thing is its jewelled rotary drive selector, which gives the cabin a premium touch.

Battery and Range

While the 30 kWh battery gives a real world range of 265 km, the 40 kWh unit boasts an ARAI range of up to 355 km. Multi-level regenerative braking allows you to charge the battery even when applying brakes.

The car remains smooth and efficient in City mode, while Sport mode gets instant power response. That is, traffic or highway, ready for both.
