New price

The 2026 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R was previously available for ₹19.49 lakh (ex-showroom). However, with GST 2.0 implementing a 40% tax slab on superbikes, the price has now increased to ₹20.79 lakh. Keep in mind, this is the ex-showroom price. This means that when you buy it on-road, the price will be even higher after including RTO charges and insurance.

Engine and Performance

The Ninja ZX-10R is considered one of the most accessible superbikes in the litre-class category. It is powered by a 998cc, inline-four engine that generates 193.1 bhp power and 112 Nm torque. This engine is known for its tractability and high-speed performance.

However, interestingly, the power and torque output of the 2026 model is slightly lower than that of the 2025 bike. According to experts, emission norms and new engine tuning changes could be the reason behind this.

Suspension and Braking

For handling and comfort, the ZX-10R features premium Showa BFF forks and a Showa BFRC monoshock. Braking performance is enhanced by dual front discs and a rear disc brake, which ensures confident control even at high speeds.

To control all these features, the bike features a TFT color display, which is both modern and rider-friendly. It allows riders to access real-time information and settings.

Competition

Despite the price increase, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is still one of the most accessible models among liter-class superbikes. It competes directly with performance-oriented superbikes like the BMW S 1000 RR. Although the BMW has a higher price and maintenance costs, the ZX-10R is considered a value-for-money superbike.
