New Engine Power

The new Creta N Line in Brazil will be powered by a 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine. This potent unit has the capability to deliver 193 PS and 265 Nm of torque. It will be mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, which should provide smoother gear changes and an exhilarating driving experience. Presently, the Brazilian market Creta N Line sports a lower 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine that delivers 120 PS and 172 Nm, with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The jump to the 1.6-litre engine is expected to bring a significant performance boost to customers who want a sportier drive.

New Design Updates

Test mule spotted in Brazil was completely uncloaked, exposing important details. The majority of its styling follows the present-day Creta N Line, but there are some updates. There’s a new 1.6-TGDI badge on the rear gate officially declaring the higher engine.

Hyundai has also changed the alloy wheels to a new larger 18-inch design with a new pattern. The previous Brazilian Creta N Line features 17-inch diamond-cut alloys. All other exterior features, such as LED lights, signature N Line grille, and sporty bumpers, are essentially the same but present it in a more familiar yet robust form.

Price Expectations

In Brazil, the new Hyundai Creta N Line 1.6-TGDI might be priced in the range of R$ 200,000, which translates to approximately ₹31.15 lakh in India. For context, the existing top-end Creta 1.6 TGDI Ultimate variant in Brazil retails for approximately R$ 198,120 (₹30.85 lakh). On the other hand, the current Creta N Line 1.0-litre turbo retails at R$ 188,720 (₹29.39 lakh). With the increased powertrain and some cosmetic enhancements, the price increase feels justified for performance-oriented buyers.

Expected India Launch

Though the new Creta N Line was tested in Brazil, it has not been announced for India yet. Nevertheless, with its huge popularity among Indian customers, there is a good possibility Hyundai may launch this 1.6-litre turbo variant in India in the future. Until then, the company still retails the existing sporty N Line variant in the Indian market, which is already popular for its design and dynamic driving feel.
