Tulsi Vivah 2025: Tulsi Vivah is considered very special in Hinduism and is celebrated every year on the Ekadashi (the eleventh day of the bright fortnight) of Kartik. On this day, Tulsi Mata is adorned and married to Shaligram, a form of Lord Vishnu.
According to beliefs, performing Tulsi Vivah fulfils wishes and brings auspicious results. Tulsi Vivah takes place the day after Devuthani Ekadashi. On Ekadashi, Lord Vishnu awakens from his four-month yogic sleep. Auspicious ceremonies begin on this day. In many areas, Tulsi Vivah is celebrated for five days and concludes on Kartik Purnima.
According to belief, auspicious ceremonies begin after Lord Vishnu’s immersion on Devuthani Ekadashi. However, auspicious ceremonies, such as weddings, start on the day of Tulsi Vivah. This year, the Dwadashi Tithi of the Shukla Paksha (waxing moon) of the Kartik month will begin at 7:31 am on November 2nd and end at 5:07 am on November 3rd. Therefore, Tulsi Vivah will be held on November 2nd.
