Amrit Bharat Express: Good news for railway passengers. Indian Railways is introducing a new train, the 08411 Brahmapur-Udhna Amrit Bharat Express Special, to accommodate the increased travel demand. This special service aims to offer a direct and convenient rail connection to passengers from Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Gujarat. The Amrit Bharat Express features modern LHB coaches.

The Brahmapur-Udhna (BAM-UDN-BAM) Amrit Bharat Express, with train numbers 19022/19021, will operate three days a week starting from July 6, 2026. The route will include stops at Vizianagaram, Titlagarh, Mahasamund, Lakhauli, Raipur, and Durg. The inaugural journey from Brahmapur to Udhna is scheduled for July 6 at 5:00 PM. The departure of train number 08411 from Brahmapur to Udhna is at 5:00 PM, passing through Vijayanagaram, Titlagarh, Raipur, Durg, Gondia, Nagpur, and finally reaching Udhna at 02:00 PM via Akola Bhusaval.

08411 Brahmapur–Udhna Inaugural Special (06 July 2026, Monday) will depart from Brahmapur at 5:00 PM and reach Palasa at 6:30 PM, Srikakulam Road at 7:35 PM, Vizianagaram at 8:40 PM, Bobbili at 9:45 PM, Parvatipuram at 10:15 PM, and Rayagada at 11:05 PM. It will pass Singapur Road without a scheduled halt.

On Tuesday (07 July 2026), the train will arrive at Muniguda at 12:05 AM, Kesinga at 1:30 AM, Titlagarh at 2:00 AM, Kantabanji at 2:55 AM, Khariar Road at 4:10 AM, Mahasamund at 5:20 AM, pass Lakholi, reach Raipur at 7:20 AM, Durg at 8:15 AM, Gondia at 8:25 AM, Nagpur at 12:00 PM, Wardha at 1:00 PM, Badnera at 2:30 PM, Akola at 3:30 PM, Malkapur at 4:50 PM, Bhusaval at 6:30 PM, Jalgaon at 7:10 PM, pass Paldhi, Dharangaon at 8:10 PM, Amalner at 8:33 PM, Sindkheda at 9:25 PM, Dondaicha at 9:47 PM, Nandurbar at 10:23 PM, and Navapur at 11:15 PM. On Wednesday (08 July 2026), the train will reach Vyara at 12:15 AM, Bardoli at 12:47 AM, and finally arrive at Udhna at 2:00 AM.

According to the Railways, the operation of this new Amrit Bharat Express will provide passengers from Chhattisgarh and three other states with a faster, safer, and more comfortable travel experience. The Railways has also released the train’s detailed timetable.

Meanwhile Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw recently examined prototype coaches of the upcoming Amrit Bharat trains at New Delhi Railway Station. The Ministry of Railways has stated that these prototype coaches were carefully designed to improve passenger comfort, visual appeal, and overall travel satisfaction.The Ministry mentioned that the coaches have been decorated with unique interior color schemes, incorporating harmonized tones throughout key elements like PVC flooring, seat and berth coverings, snack tables, curtains, and restroom areas.

It was emphasized by the Ministry that all materials utilized in these coaches adhere to Hazard Level 3 fire safety regulations, ensuring a high standard of passenger safety along with enhanced visual attractiveness. Additionally, the Ministry highlighted that the color palette provides a contemporary, sophisticated, and consistent look while ensuring longevity and easy upkeep.
