Weather Update: In most of the states, including the country’s capital, Delhi, the scorching heat is making life difficult for the people. The heat of summer has started in most of the states of the country. At some places, the maximum temperature has crossed 40 degrees. The situation is such that the heat has been troubling people since early this morning.

However, from today, i.e., April 12, an active western disturbance is likely to affect north-west India, due to which strong winds along with rain are expected in many states. Hailstorms occurred at different places in Vidarbha and Madhya Pradesh. Strong winds also occurred in different areas of Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.

Weather conditions in Delhi

Today in Delhi, the maximum temperature can be recorded at 39 degrees, and the minimum temperature can also be seen at 21 degrees Celsius. Although the sky may remain cloudy today, there is little hope of respite from the heat.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in Delhi may change tomorrow (April 13). Light rain with strong winds may be seen on the night of April 13. There will be a dust storm and a thunderstorm.

Due to the rain, the people of Delhi will get some respite from the scorching heat and intense sunlight. Similar weather can be seen in Delhi for the next two or three days.

Rain warnings in these states

From today until April 13, light to moderate rainfall with thunder, lightning, and gusty winds is likely over Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Marathwada, and Madhya Maharashtra. Stormy winds are expected at different places in Madhya Pradesh on April 12th and 13th.

During the same period, warnings of rain with thunder and lightning have been issued in Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Bihar, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Over the next seven days, isolated light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30–40 kmph) is likely over Telangana, Kerala, Mahe, and interior Karnataka. On April 11 and 12, hailstorms may be seen at isolated places in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Marathwada.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain or snowfall with isolated thunderstorms in Arunachal Pradesh. Light rain with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds is expected over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Assam and Meghalaya, and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura during the next 7 days.
