Mustafizur Rahman PSL 2026: Mustafizur Rahman suffered a setback due to the strained relations between Bangladesh and India. Following instructions from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) released him from their team. This was a significant loss for Mustafizur Rahman, as KKR had bought him for ₹9.2 crore. But as they say, you never know when luck will strike.
After being dropped from the Indian Premier League, his luck has turned around again. Rahman has now received good news from Pakistan. Mustafizur Rahman has been bought in the PSL for ₹6.44 crore. This amount is considerably less than what KKR paid, but it is still seen as a relief after the initial setback.

Which team bought Mustafizur Rahman?
Lahore Qalandars, who will be participating in PSL 2026, successfully bid for the Bangladeshi bowler Mustafizur Rahman, acquiring him for ₹6.44 crore. This amount is equivalent to US$230,000. This will be Rahman’s third season with the Qalandars. He has previously played three seasons for Lahore.
He was first selected in 2016, but due to a shoulder injury, he couldn’t be part of the playing eleven. In 2018, he played 5 matches in the PSL and took four wickets with an economy rate of 6.43. For the upcoming season, Lahore retained Shaheen Afridi, Abdullah Shafique, Sikandar Raza, and Mohammad Naeem. Qalandars owner Sameen Rana expressed his happiness at Rahman joining the team.
