Bihar Self-Employment Loan Camps 2026: The state government has launched a highly ambitious campaign to promote self-employment and empower youth entrepreneurs in Bihar. As directed by the Industries Department, special loan camps will be organized in all districts of the state from February 6th to March 12th, 2026.

The highlight of these camps is that applications will be thoroughly vetted and loan approvals will be granted immediately, saving young people the hassle of visiting banks to start their own businesses. The Industries Department aims to directly benefit approximately 2.5 lakh people in the state through this campaign.

Special Focus on These 3 Major Schemes

These camps will primarily focus on loans under three major central government schemes, covering various areas of self-employment:

PM Vishwakarma Yojana

PMEGP

Under this program, loans of up to ₹50 lakh can be obtained for setting up a new industry or service unit. The most attractive aspect is the subsidy, which ranges from 15% to 35% depending on the category. Subsidy rates are higher for women and reserved categories.

PM Vishwakarma Yojana

This scheme is for traditional artisans (such as carpenters, blacksmiths, and potters). They will be provided with ₹15,000 for a free toolkit, a ₹500 daily allowance during training, and a low-cost loan of up to ₹3 lakh without any guarantee.

PM Micro Food Industries Upgradation Scheme

If you want to start a food processing business (such as a spice mill, flour mill, or pickle making), this scheme offers a credit-linked subsidy of up to ₹10 lakh. A minimum of an 8th-grade pass is required.

Instant loan approval process at the camp

District officials, Industry Department officials, Jeevika group representatives, and senior bank officials will be present at these camps, which will be held in all districts of Bihar. This joint team of officials will verify the documents of eligible beneficiaries on the spot and, if found eligible, will immediately approve their loan applications.

The primary objective of this initiative is to ensure the benefits of government schemes reach the beneficiaries and eliminate bank-level delays. If you have the necessary documents ready, such as your Aadhaar card, PAN card, and project report, you can attend these camps and turn your employment dreams into reality.

Bihar’s New Identity

This initiative by the Bihar government will prove to be a milestone in creating an industrial environment in the state and curbing migration. These camps are prioritizing youth, women, and Scheduled Castes and Tribes, not only from urban but also rural areas.

By participating in this mega campaign, which runs until March 12th, young people can set up an industry of their choice: a dairy farm, a sewing unit, or a food processing plant. Interested candidates are advised to contact the District Industries Center (DIC) in their district for the exact date and location of the camp.
