Banks will remain completely closed in all states on the occasion of Republic Day on 26 January 2026 .
Banks closed for a total of 3 days in February
Banks will be closed in the Gangtok region on February 18, 2026, for Losar Day. Banks will be closed in the Belapur, Mumbai, and Nagpur regions on February 19, 2026, for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti. Banks will be closed in the Aizawl and Itanagar regions on February 20, 2026, for Statehood Day. Banks are also closed on Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays of the month.
In 2026, banks will also be closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month . Additionally, there will be additional non-working days in some weeks due to festivals and national holidays . Please note that online and digital banking services will remain operational despite the holidays, allowing for seamless transactions .
