Vande Bharat Sleeper : The Vande Bharat Sleeper Express, which will launch next week, will not offer reservation against cancellation (RAC). Tickets for the Vande Bharat Sleeper train are priced slightly higher than existing premium trains like the Rajdhani Express. Passengers will pay the minimum fare for a distance of 400 kilometers.
A circular issued by the Railway Board states, “The minimum chargeable distance will be 400 kilometers. Only confirmed tickets will be issued for this train. There will be no provision for RAC/waitlist/partially confirmed tickets. All berths will be available from the day of the Advance Reservation Period (ARP).”

Vande Bharat Sleeper train luggage limit

What’s the luggage allowance for the Howrah–Guwahati Vande Bharat Sleeper train?
In a statement to the media, Shibram Majhi, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of Eastern Railway, mentioned that there hasn’t been any change in the luggage limit for the Vande Bharat Sleeper train so far. Therefore, passengers must adhere to the current baggage regulations while traveling. Here’s a summary of the Indian Railways luggage policies:
According to Indian Railways, passengers are entitled to a free luggage allowance based on their travel class, with a small additional allowance available for a fee. However, exceeding the allowed baggage limit will incur penalty charges as per railway regulations.
Since the Howrah-Guwahati Vande Bharat Sleeper train offers only three classes of accommodation: First AC, Second AC, and Third AC, the luggage allowance differs accordingly. Passengers in First AC can carry up to 70 kg of luggage, while those in Second AC and Third AC are allowed 50 kg and 40 kg, respectively.
