TVS Orbiter V1 Price: After establishing its dominance in the Indian electric two-wheeler market, TVS Motor Company has once again created a stir. According to the latest report from March 13, 2026, TVS has launched its most affordable electric scooter yet, the TVS Orbiter V1. The scooter’s biggest highlight is its new Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, which makes its starting price lower than that of a typical petrol scooter.
Available at just ₹49,999 ex-showroom (Delhi), this scooter is not only budget-friendly for middle-class families, but its high-tech features and spacious seat make it a perfect ride for city traffic. Let’s learn every detail about the price, battery plan, and range of this new electric scooter.
What is Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS)

TVS has now made purchasing an electric scooter as easy as recharging a mobile phone. Under the BaaS model, you don’t have to pay the full cost of the battery at the time of purchase, significantly reducing the initial cost. You pay only a nominal monthly subscription fee for the battery, starting at ₹862 per month.
The biggest advantage of this plan is that you don’t have to worry about battery life or failure. TVS is offering a long warranty of up to 5 years or 70,000 kilometers under this plan. Additionally, you can enjoy unlimited riding with this model without any kilometer restrictions.
Stylish Design and Comfort
The TVS Orbiter V1 has been specifically designed keeping in mind the needs of Indian families. It’s 845 mm long, and its flat seat is comfortable enough for two adults. Furthermore, it features a large 290 mm footboard, which not only provides ample legroom but also helps when carrying groceries. The handlebars are positioned so that riders don’t feel tired even after riding for hours. Furthermore, there’s a generous 34-liter under-seat storage, which can easily accommodate two helmets.
Smart Features

Despite its low price, TVS hasn’t compromised on features. It features a modern LCD instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity. Using a mobile app, you can check your battery’s charge level and odometer from anywhere. For safety, it boasts advanced features like geo-fencing, anti-theft alerts, crash, and fall alerts. It also offers hill hold for downhill roads and cruise control for long journeys, features typically found in more expensive vehicles. It features two driving modes—Eco and Power—that you can adjust to your needs.
Performance and Charging
The Orbiter V1 is a perfect choice for everyday urban commutes. Its 1.8kWh battery offers a range of 86 kilometers on a full charge. The best part is its fast charging capability; it charges from 0 to 80% in just 2 hours and 20 minutes. This means you can easily charge it even during your lunch break. This scooter is ideal for office-goers and college students who want to escape rising petrol prices.
