Parasakthi Day 1 Box Office Collection: After weeks of delays and struggles with the Censor Board, Sudha Kongara’s historical drama ‘Parasakthi’ finally hit the screens on Saturday, January 10th. This is Sivakarthikeyan’s 25th film (SK25), so there was tremendous excitement among fans. However, the first-day box office figures suggest that the film’s opening was a little underwhelming compared to expectations.
Box Office Performance – Lagging Behind ‘Amaran’ and ‘Madharaasi’
According to trade analyst ‘Sacnilk’, ‘Parasakthi’ earned approximately ₹11.50 crore (net) on its first day in India. The film’s occupancy in Tamil Nadu theaters was around 62.79%. While these figures aren’t bad, they are slightly lower than Sivakarthikeyan’s previous hits:

Censor Board Cuts and 25 Changes
The film faced last-minute struggles for its release. To obtain a ‘UA’ certificate from the CBFC (Censor Board), the makers had to make 25 minor and major changes to the film, including some visual cuts and dialogue alterations.

What is the film’s story?
The film takes us back to 1960s Madras. The story revolves around two brothers who get involved in the anti-Hindi imposition protests of that era.

Star Cast: Sivakarthikeyan stars alongside Sreeleela, who makes her Tamil debut. Ravi Mohan plays the villain, and Atharvaa appears in a supporting role.
