According to railway rules, a platform ticket costing โน10 is valid for only 2 hours. This means you can stay on the station premises or platform for a maximum of two hours from the time of purchase. After that, the ticket automatically becomes invalid.
If a person stays on the platform for more than two hours and is caught by the ticket checking staff, a fine may be imposed. Therefore, whenever you go to the station to drop off or pick up a friend or relative, remember the time you bought the ticket.

What is the fine for being caught without a platform ticket?
