PM Kisan Yojana: The central government is running several beneficial schemes to empower people financially. Among these schemes, the PM Kisan Yojana is being implemented to benefit farmers. Under this scheme, eligible farmers in the country receive a total of ₹6,000 in financial assistance every year. This amount is transferred directly to the farmer’s bank account in three equal installments, meaning ₹2,000 is transferred every four months. The main objective of this scheme is to meet the farming needs of farmers and strengthen their financial condition.
Eligibility Criteria for the Scheme

To avail the benefits of the PM-Kisan scheme, the farmer must be eligible. For this, the farmer must own cultivable land, and the land must be registered in their name. Also, the farmer’s Aadhaar card must be linked to their bank account, and e-KYC must be completed. Land verification and correct bank details are also essential. If there is any discrepancy, the installment may be withheld.

Can both father and son receive the benefits?
According to the rules of the PM Kisan Yojana, only one member from a family can receive the benefits. If the father and son cultivate the same land and belong to the same family unit, then neither can receive separate installments. Additionally, to avail the benefits of the scheme, you must own 2 hectares or less of land.

When will the 22nd installment be released?
This year’s 22nd installment will be released after an interval of approximately four months. Based on this, it is likely to be credited to farmers’ accounts in February 2026. However, no official announcement has been made yet. As soon as the government releases the official notification, farmers can check their status.

How to Check PM-Kisan Status

Farmers can check the status of their installment by visiting the official website pmkisan.gov.in. On the homepage, click on the “Know Your Status” option. Then enter your Aadhaar number, mobile number, or registration number. After submitting, complete information related to your installment and payment will be displayed on the screen.
