Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal said that when Rohit Sharma doesn’t scold one of his favorite junior players on the field, he feels uncomfortable because the former captain’s scolding is always laced with affection and love.

This is what Yashasvi Jaiswal said about Rohit Sharma

During a live event, Yashasvi Jaiswal said, “Whenever Rohit Bhaiya scolds us, there’s a lot of affection and love hidden in it. To be honest, if Rohit Bhaiya isn’t scolding us, I feel like something’s wrong. What happened? Why isn’t he scolding? Did he feel bad about something I said?”

Yashasvi shared big partnerships with both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma during his maiden ODI century in Visakhapatnam. He explained how their presence changes the atmosphere in the dressing room. “It’s great for us when they’re around because they discuss the game and share their experiences. The way they’ve played and won matches for India is an inspiration for us. They tell us what mistakes they made in their younger days and how we can avoid them,” he said.

Jaiswal said, “When he’s not there, we miss him. When he’s there, the atmosphere becomes comfortable. During the third ODI, Rohit Bhaiya told me to be patient, take my time, and he would take the risk himself. How many people would do that? Similarly, Virat Paaji gave me small targets and said we have to win this match.”

Jaiswal said his first ODI century felt as special to him as his Oval Test century. When asked if he considered making the T20 World Cup squad, he said, “My dream is to play in the T20 World Cup, but I try to focus on my game and wait for my time.”
