Recently, they introduced a new Aadhaar app that makes it super easy to update your mobile number.
Soon, you’ll also be able to update your address, name, and email ID through this app. The best part? You won’t need any documents to change your mobile number! Just use OTP verification and face authentication to make the update through the app.
Here’s how to update your mobile number in the Aadhaar app
First, download the Aadhaar app from the Google Play Store.
Next, log in by entering your Aadhaar number.
You’ll receive an OTP on your registered mobile number, which you need to enter.
Then, create a 6-digit login PIN to access the app.
After that, log in to the Aadhaar app using your 6-digit PIN.
Scroll down and select the “Update My Aadhaar” option under “Services.”
You’ll see the option to update your mobile number—just click on it.
Next, read the necessary details and hit the continue button.
You’ll need to verify the OTP by entering your current mobile number.
Then, verify the OTP again by entering your new mobile number.
After that, it’s time for face authentication.
Just look into the camera, close your eyes, and then open them.
Finally, you’ll see a payment option where you’ll need to pay Rs 75.
And that’s it! You can easily update your new mobile number in your Aadhaar card.
